Conference Workshops

A good way to introduce Main Street managers and board members from many communities to new techniques is through a one- to four-hour workshop at your next training conference. We can tailor from one hour to one day, always with group interaction.

What your residents want is a different way to talk about the same old issues. You can achieve this by using new tools, like the Magic Wall. You can download the recipe for making a Magic Wall.

Here is a sampling of training sessions done at conferences of National Main Street and the International Association of Facilitators:

How to Run a Public Design Workshop

How to Plan an Agenda & Launch a Meeting

How to Organize & Run a Charrette

Ten Ways to Ruin a Design Charrette

How to Connect Downtown & Your Riverfront – First Steps

Connecting Downtown & Your Waterfront – Design Principles & Implementation

"John's ability to put our group at ease created an environment where everyone was able to share. Great ideas and a plan for action were the results of John's skill at engaging our participants and helping them articulate their own thoughts."

Deborah Turcotte, former Executive Director
Laconia Main Street, NH
